The City of Salem is the county seat of Salem County, New Jersey. Salem showcases the county's finest collection of period architecture, ranging from Colonial to 20th Century. Salem was founded in 1675 by John Fenwick and maintains the distinction of being the first permanent English speaking settlement along the Delaware River.
Few other towns in America compare to Salem when it comes to the city's history, sophistocated architecture, and cultural diversity. To experience Salem through a walking tour is to walk in the steps of early Quaker settlers and many others whose American experience began in Salem.
We invite you to explore Salem, and share the opportunity to be part an American masterpiece - the City of Salem.
